Presenting a compelling portfolio is essential for artists seeking to make a lasting impact on prospective clients, employers, or collaborators. This three-part workshop series will focus on three artistic disciplines – performing arts, media arts, and visual arts. New and emerging artists will gain valuable insights into crafting an impactful artist statement, selecting cohesive work samples, formatting, and promoting their portfolios.
Session I: Performing Arts | Tuesday, March 12, 2024, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Participants will learn how to display their talent and achievements including selecting and organizing performance materials, crafting artist statements, and presenting a compelling professional narrative.
Session II: Media Arts | Tuesday, March 19, 2024, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Participants will get tips to assemble a comprehensive portfolio that highlights their skills in media production, storytelling, and creative expression. This session will address the selection and presentation of multimedia projects, professional statements, and how to showcase their work.
Session III: Visual Arts | Tuesday, March 26, 2024, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Participants will learn the art of crafting a compelling portfolio, gaining expertise in editing and presenting their visual artwork, developing artist statements, and showcasing a consistent body of work that shows their artistic identity and expertise.
