Aleathia Brown native of both Harlem & The Bronx

Graduated Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music & Art for Fine Art and earned her BFA at the School of Visual Arts for Media Arts and Art Education with a minor in Graphic Design. Aleathia is listed with The National Museum of Women in the Arts Archives. Ms. Brown continues to mark her place in history.

UNINTERRUPTED a retrospective held at the El Taller Latino Americano Gallery celebrating Aleathia Brown's journey of 53 years making Art. Opened January 25, 2020 with an ART WEDDING the exhibit included works on paper, burlap, mixed medium. Officiated by Minister Malaran, Aleathia's vows affirmed her childhood commitment to the assignment she was given being an Artist divinely aligned with creativity

The fall of 2018 was a new chapter, I took a lifelong dream trip to Paris and London. I participated in the Works on Paper exhibition at the Brick Lane Gallery in East London performed at the Poetry Society in Covent Garden, on return to the States I began creating new works on burlap preparing for Art Basel/Art Week at the Wynwood Convention Center exhibiting with the Red Dot Group/Spectrum Miami December 5, 2018.

December 29 2018 launched my first self published Coloring unbound Book entitled Coloring and Time at the American Museum of Natural History for the Kwanzaa Festival where I've exhibited my artwork and art novelties since 2010.

He was Dating my Hair is a live recorded audio and video from a Live Storyslam that I performed at the Bronx Museum of Art during one of the Moth Storytelling venues. It has been archived in another version at the City Hall of Records archival department as an Official New York Story my revised version was featured on the Moth Story-Hour on their NPR Radio show, podcast and website from November 11, 2018 the video aired on the Mothstories instagram page and their YouTube channel May 23, 2019 with 1.8k views within the week it posted.

Fall 2017 I was commissioned to Create, Art Direct and Paint a 3 wall mural I am Harlem Located on the exterior walls at the Infinity Mennonite Church 2522 Adam Clayton Powell blvd. Harlem NY 10039 at the corner of 146th Street.

2020 I was a Participating Artist for the Black Lives Matter Mural in Harlem guiding the Community as well assisting one of the Selected Artist Commissioned on the Curated portion of the mural. August 2020 Kente Royal Gallery in Harlem I participated in the COVID/BLM Exhibition a group show where I Hosted Instagram LIVE and a Zoom video conference meeting from the Gallery.

I continue expanding my BRAND as well as delving into my visual storytelling. My ARTWORK provokes dialogue, allures the viewer with color and texture as well embodies movement.
