The Bronx is a melting pot of culture and history which is why the Mott Haven Film Festival (MHFF) is calling everyone from all the corners of the World to The Boogie Down. MHFF wants to represent people from all walks of life, and by submitting your film to our Bronx-based film festival, you are helping reach our goal.

Our Programming Breakdown:
For 2023 we are accepting films of all genres that are under 45 minutes. These shorts can range from but are not limited to Experimental, Documentaries, Comedy, Drama, and of course, Narratives. MHFF also accepts student films; if you're a student, you can submit your project.
We have one request, please caption your film for all to enjoy.
Awards and prizes will be handed out to winners at our Awards ceremony.
Acceptable format for Screening Consideration is Vimeo videos with password access and Youtube private links with a password. DVDs and USBs are acceptable. If your film is selected, you will need to provide a digital copy.
• If a film is accepted, filmmakers will be responsible for delivering their exhibition materials by a date determined by the festival. You run the risk of having your film acceptance revoked if items are not received by the due date.
• The Mott Haven Film Festival is not liable for the submission or exhibition of materials that are lost or damaged.
• Filmmaker must have all clearances, including trademark and copyrighted materials. You must have authorized permission for all materials. The filmmaker remains entirely liable for any claims that may occur as a result of screening the film.
• Filmmaker authorizes the Mott Haven Film Festival permission to screen their film at the festival.
• The festival must receive the exhibition copy by the date specified to screen the film.
We accept previously released films but not before 2018.
