WCS and Blue York were created to inform the public about the issues in the local waterways. “Consider Water” is an evening-length piece that uses dynamic fluid physicality, live music, and visual art as tools to bring attention to today’s important local and global issues surrounding water. These issues include water shortage, water pollution, water-related natural disasters, access to clean water, and they affect communities in The Bronx, California, African and third world countries around the world. Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) and Blue York initiative focuses on how this pollution affects the aquatic life in the water bodies throughout the Bronx and New York City. Live animal demonstrations will be incorporated before the performance to connect the audience to animals and conservation in a deeper way. This performance will provide a new way for locals to learn about conservation concerns in their own backyard as well as empower them to take action.
