Carlos Hiciano is a filmmaker, musician, and writer who has worked in the media industry for 10+ years. Having graduated from CUNY - Lehman College with a BA in ‘Media Studies’, he went on to work in many settings including music videos, narrative films, and documentaries.
Having a knack for writing, and directing, he has garnered recognition and awards for his short films. His short film “Promises” was an official selection of the 2016 Chicago Horror Film Festival. Additionally, his script “10-Second Barrier” was optioned, produced, and went on to be accepted among ten film festivals including the 2015 New York Dominican Film Festival.
Today, Carlos works for ITV America as an assistant editor while he pursues his passion projects in his spare time. Representation in media matters to Carlos and he sets out to create and share stories about and with underrepresented communities.
