Geographies of the Self

The Longwood Art Gallery @ Hostos is extending its stay in BCA headquarters for our next exhibition, Geographies of the Self. Bringing together artworks by 10 multidisciplinary artists, this diverse exhibition explores how visualizations of the body are connected to the vast landscapes of one’s family and community.

This exhibition is part of Longwood's 2022 season calendar focused on Polarities and exploring the dualities that Bronx artists engage in with their art practices and at varying scales, from the personal and political to the global and historical. Over the course of the year, the Longwood Art Gallery @ Hostos will provide a space for critically engaging with the polarized political and social forces of our time and the way in which Bronx artists reflect on this contemporary moment.
