The Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA) serves audiences of over 10,000 residents of The Bronx, one of the country’s most multicultural constituencies, through varied community programs, including gallery exhibitions, artists’ talks and performances, concerts, and other public offerings. Our newly renovated facility in Westchester Square will allow us to expand our public programming through classroom and performance space open to the entire community. Stay tuned for more information on our grand opening.
Artists Engage Series
BCA seeks to build bridges of understanding among artists and the community. This series of community conversations/forums led by artists working in various disciplines and in partnership with cultural, community and social justice organizations, will encourage engaging community discussions about issues of public concern in The Bronx, with a particular focus on how art has been used as a tool for engagement, change, and advocacy.
Events include artists' interviews, moderated artist panels, as well as guest lectures focused on local social justice issues and the arts.
