The LPB Current Issues Fund

Latino Public Broadcasting is the leader in developing, producing, acquiring, and distributing non-commercial educational and cultural media that represents Latino people or addresses issues of particular interest to Latino Americans.

The organization’s Current Issues Fund invites applications for 60- or 90-minute documentary films from the Latino-American perspective that explore contemporary civic and social justice issues, incorporate a journalistic approach into the filmmaking process, and have resonance for national U.S. audiences. Grants ranging from between $40,000 and $100,000 for production and post-production will be awarded for stories that explore timely issues, demonstrate artistic storytelling, and have the potential to engage communities in civic discourse beyond the broadcast. Research and development will not be supported.

Application Deadline:2023-06-21
