Michele Brody is an environmental installation artist with an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  She has exhibited her work in France, Costa Rica, Germany, Chicago, and NYC at Littlejohn Contemporary, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Julio Valdez Project Space, Lower East Side Tenement Museum and The Bronx Museum.   Michele Brody has kept up a full time studio/exhibition practice for 20 years while working as an Artist/Educator throughout NYC. She has received a grant or residency almost every year since 1995 from Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, LMCC, Pollock/Krasner Foundation, NYFA, Bronx Council on the Arts and NYSCA, and has worked as an Artist-in-Residence at Skowhegan, the Headlands Center for the Arts, Ox-Bow, and the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation. In 2011 she won Best 3-D Entry at Art Prize in Grand Rapids, MI. In 2006 Brody completed 2 permanent public works for DOE and MTA in The Bronx.
