Joe holds a BA in Literature from Bennington College and an MFA in Literary Arts from Brown University. After winning the Weston Writing Prize upon graduation he was a Writing Instructor for Brown’s Continuing Studies and Summer Program. Joe then moved to NY and taught at the Brooklyn Brainery, the GPS Academy, and SummerFuel at Columbia University. Joe’s poetry and short fiction has appeared in the Indiana Review (Finalist for Micro-Fiction 1/2 K Contest, judged by Lydia Davis), Riverbabble Journal (Bloom’s Day Prize), and Mangrove Literary Journal. Joe received a Pushcart Prize nomination in 2006. Joe lives in the Bronx and works as a freelance copyeditor and tutor. He is currently working on his first collection of poetry.
