“Live Big Girl” features prominent intergenerational performance poets at different stages of their careers, discussing what it means to be plus size Latinx women (self-identifying) in the New York literary and performance scene where F-A-T isn't always welcomed on the page or the stage. Through the verses of a Puerto-Rican-Cuban ( Rebeca Lucret) and a Dominican( Vanessa Ferreira), FAT is deconstructed and reimagined. Debuted and sold out at “The National Black Theater” in 2017, in 2018 at BAAD! ASS Women’s Festival at Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance and at Ladyfest, The Tank Theater. The “Live Big” movement continued off the stage and into the community through a series of writing workshops, the “Live Big Girl” Poetry Anthology, and features at The New York City Poetry Festival at Governors Island, Capicu Culture Poetry Showcase, York College (Her) Story, and Great Weather For Media- Spoken Word Sundays. “Live Big Girl was also interviewed by BronxNet Open and WHCR 90.3 The Voice of Harlem and published by the Acentos Review.
