Consider Water

Consider Water
"Consider Water” is a dance piece that I began choreographing in 2013. Dynamic fluid physicality, live music, and visual art are used as tools to bring attention to today’s important local and global issues surrounding water. These issues include access to clean water; water shortage; water pollution; and water-related natural disasters. These issues are affecting communities in The Bronx, Detroit, California, and third world countries around the world .The Bronx, in particular, is affected by water pollution due to storm-water runoff. The music is composed and performed live by Mike McGinnis, who will use traditional instruments, water sounds, and a recording of Hurricane Sandy to create the score.
