The Bombazo Dance Co drum and dance education workshop series focuses on providing quality drum and dance instruction with master drummers and dance instructors from the Bombazo dance company to the Bronx community free of charge. Workshop series consists of 24 sessions, once a week on Saturdays with two drumming classes (African drum and Bomba Drum) and two dance classes (African Dance and Bomba Dance). Our goal is for the community to learn and experience how Bomba rhythms originated and are very similar to African rhythms/ dance as well as to expose themselves to different cultures and make connections to their own cultures.
