In this four-week intensive class, lead by Jakki Kerubo, participants will develop a narrative essay. Participants will workshop one another’s ideas. Jakki will provide feedback throughout. At the end of the four weeks, participants will have a completed draft of a narrative essay.
In the final class, each participant will read aloud a portion of their essay for class feedback (this is optional, as are all other opportunities to share). There will also be time for participants to polish or expand (or cut!) parts of their essay.
Please note that you need to attend at least 3 out of 4 workshops to be considered for the publication at the end of the Bronx Memoir Project workshop series.
