Narrative Essay Workshop

In this four-week intensive class, lead by Jakki Kerubo, participants will develop a narrative essay. Participants will workshop one another’s ideas. Jakki will provide feedback throughout. At the end of the four weeks, participants will have a completed draft of a narrative essay.

During the second and third classes, as a group and in pairs, participants will discuss portions of their writing and ideas for developing their narrative essays further. They will also discuss the elements of a great narrative essay, with sample selected readings, and how to shave off essay parts that don’t work.

Please note that you need to attend at least 3 out of 4 workshops to be considered for the publication at the end of the Bronx Memoir Project workshop series.
