(Re)mixing the Ordinary: Imagination and Collaborative Practice

, ,

Participants will explore the transformative qualities of unconventional sculpture materials and learn to use inexpensive, even disposable items to transform the ordinary and familiar into the extraordinary. Through an emphasis on play, they will work with a variety of discarded materials including recycled textiles, Styrofoam, cardboard, plastic and a range of industrial remnants while expanding their visual vocabulary and developing a body of work. Individual works will be combined into a series of gallery ready collaborative installations.
