Joan Bradford is a choreographer, dancer, teaching artist, and arts administrator born, raised, and still residing in the Bronx, NY. Joan holds her BFA in Dance & minor in Theatre with awards in choreographic achievement from Long Island University. Joan has performed with Sydnie L. Mosley Dances, MizantyMoves Dance Works, The Post Concert Dance Company, Praevado Dance Collective, KamrDANCE, Haven Movement Company and Mise en Danse in venues throughout New York City and in residences through Temple University, The Iron Factory, Wilson College, and Lincoln Center Education. Joan performed in the Sir Peter Shaffer Memorial film choreographed by Alexandra Beller which premiered at the American Airlines Theatre. Joan has presented work at venues including Symphony Space, Triskelion Arts, Hunter College, Brooklyn School of Music, The Old First Reformed Church, Socrates Sculpture Park, Arts on Site, Hostos Community College, and The Knockdown Center. Joan completed a choreographic residency with Lost Dog Dance Theatre in Lewes, England, and was recently in residence through the Dance Your Future Mentor & Collaborative Residency presented by Pepatián and BAAD! under the mentorship of Sydnie L. Mosley and Alexandra Beller. Currently, Joan is a creative partner and rehearsal director with Sydnie L Mosley Dances, an assistant director and dance company director with The Coalition for Hispanic Family Services Arts & Literacy program, a teaching artist and project manager with The Bronx House, and a producer with WAXworks.
