The plays “Brother Sou” and “Martin’s Truth” are about frightened, abandoned children learning to navigate today’s world without parents or guides; incarcerated men musing on the prisons of their lives, precursors to prison life. These plays were written with the goal of exploring internal conflicts, neglected and misdirected youth.
