For the past eight years I've had the pleasure of writing comic book stories featuring black leads. My mission is to introduce unique stories that includes cultural connections from the African Diaspora. I feel like it's not enough just to write black characters, but also include black culture into my stories. My books have won Glyph Comic Book Awards and have been nominated for a Ringo Award. Pages from my comics have also been featured in the exhibits at the National Liberty Museum and August Wilson Cultural Center. I've sold my books at large comic book conventions like New York Comic Con. I have also spoken on various panels at comic conventions about being an independent comic book publisher as a creator and business person.
