"Solid Ground: A Play about Landing on your Feet" was created in 2011 by a group of young professional theater artists from the Bronx under the direction of Lynn Fischer, Artistic Director of Mass Transit Street Theater. It is based on true stories of young people growing up in NYC. It follows 6 characters over the course of their four years in high school. Using hip hop dance, poetry, drama, and comedy, it explores issues of domestic and relationship violence, teen depression, homelessness, suicide, bullying, and racial profiling.
