The quarterly poetry showcase will feature 3-4 professional poets and highlight an undetermined number of emerging poets at all levels that have participated in the accompanying creative writing workshops; providing new poets the opportunity to gain performing experience at a public event and a feature opportunity for their professional artist resume. Part of the poetry showcase will be dedicated to an Open-mic portion where interested attendees may contribute to the event with their original works. Part of the funding requested will be allocated to compensating travel costs to visual artists whose works will be showcased at our events.
