Heather Archibald
Heather A. Archibald migrated from St. Kitts to New York, where she studied English at Lehman College, earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. She has taught English at colleges both in New York and St. Kitts. In 2000, Heather published her first collection of poems entitled Pregnant These Past Twenty Years. Her poems have been published in a number of journals, including The Caribbean Writer (UVI) (2015, 2016, 2017), Mom Egg Review (2016) and A River of Stories (2015) in which she represented St. Kitts and Nevis. She is also a Callaloo fellow. Her second collection of poems, Home-Home, was published in the summer of 2016. Heather participated as an instructor in the Interactive Poetry Workshop, collaborating with Women Writers in Bloom Poetry Salon at the CCNY Department of Continuing and Professional Studies. She completed her MFA degree in Creative Writing with a thesis in fiction from CCNY(Spring 2017)."
