Bronx Heroes Free Comic Book Day

Bronx Heroes Free Comic Book Day
The vision of Ray Felix/ Bronx Heroes® is to inspire and encourage literacy through reading and creating comic books and graphic novels. Ray Felix/ Bronx Heroes® accomplishes this goal by organizing annual community-based events. At these events, we distribute free comic books to the Bronx community at the New York Public Library’s Fordham Center in the Kingsbridge area. Ray Felix/ Bronx Heroes® is celebrating his 7th year of giving away free comics to Bronxites on what is nationally known as "Free Comic Book Day". From 2009 to 2014, Ray Felix organized events formally known as, "Bronx Heroes Comic Con®". In the last six years, a total of 5000 comics have been distributed freely to Bronx residents. Ray Felix/ Bronx Heroes® events are also followed by community-based arts activities conducted by Ray Felix himself, along with other comic book writers, editors, comic artists publishers from Marvel®, DC®, Archie comics®, Papercutz®, and Bronx Heroes® freelance artists.
