“Community Portraits” project provides adult community art sessions focusing on portraiture at Morris Park NYPL. Through painting, drawing and collage, participants will focus on the history of portraiture while creating and exhibiting portraits of themselves, family and friends.
As a painter, Rosemarie Fiore is interested in expanding the possibilities of abstraction through using unconventional painting processes and materials. She create paintings on paper and canvas using fumage. Instead of painting with smoke from candles, she paint with color smoke released from smoke firework canisters. She has named the process ‘Smoke Painting’.
