The Boone Avenue Walls Foundation (B.A.W.F) is an artist-led mural festival held annually near the end of Summer in The Bronx, NYC, also known as the mecca of Graffiti. Luis Arroyo Jr. actively works to improve the quality of life of local communities, including all 5 boroughs, using Graffiti as a teaching tool to promote a different side of urban renewal. It is a more inclusive form of beautification, long-term community empowerment, and environmental education. Luis finds that through these efforts, we can be a catalyst to help connect, organize, and inspire community-minded folks from all walks of life as well as to prepare and inspire a new generation of artists and creative community leaders.
