Bronx Memoir Project – Narrative Essay Writing Series

Led by Caroline Rothstein, Narrative is described as "a spoken or written account of connected events." As a storytelling device, the narrative essay smooths together and contains experiences, moments, and details in a poetic and prolific way that makes it possible for us to engage deeply with ourselves, our communities, and the world. In this workshop series, we will read and write narrative essays to learn how to locate our unique voices and strengthen our ability to tell stories in concrete and connective ways. New writing will be generated in each session, with opportunities for volunteers to both share and receive feedback, as wanted.
