Barefoot Dancing

, ,

Barefoot Dancing will bring performers to the Bronx on Thursday evenings to perform and teach multi-ethnic forms of dance, play live instrumental music and teach our diverse audience their distinct dance forms. These workshops will take place on the lush green lawn of Van Cortlandt House Museum. Programming for Barefoot Dancing is predicated on the premise that cultural literacy and social development enhance the vitality of a community.Through these performances and workshops, the performing artists expose over 3,000 attendees to diverse ethnic art forms and teach them the many ways their bodies can be a vehicle for cultural expression.
