The project will culminate in an exhibition of thirty 16″x20″ black and white photographs mounted and framed of Van Cortlandt Park taken between 2010 and 2015. The exhibition will be held in the Fall of 2016 in the Vladeck Hall which is adjacent to the park. The photographs selected for the exhibit are from the collection of 280 images that have been chosen for a book of the same name to be published. The two themes that I have pursued over my artist career, nature and deconstruction/reconstruction have been combined in this project to create a post-modern, nihilistic world. It took five years of photographing in the park in all seasons and under all weather conditions. The exhibit will also be a fundraiser for Friends of Van Cortlandt Park.
