Bead Making Workshop / Huntington Free Library

Join us for a free, fun-filled family activity!

Workshop facilitator Gail Sharbaan invites you to get your hands delightfully messy while transforming clay into treasured memories. In this fun-filled, family workshop, Gail will show you how to use air dry clay and imagination to create wearable art. Flyer.

Little Fashion Week Contest 2010
All aspiring young fashion designers between the ages 7-10 years old are invited to participate. Design, create, and display fashions for their 11-12 inch fashion dolls (male or female) and construct a related display background (like a diorama) with props (optional) that tell a story. Fashions must be submitted at the Owen Dolen Recreation Center by April 17th for an April 24th judging. Flyer.

Free Tax Preparation for Bronx Artists

ARIVA, a non-profit organization focused on financial literacy and tax preparation services, continues to demonstrate its commitment to self-employed artists in the Bronx by offering free tax preparation to artists who live in the borough. Volunteers specially trained in the tax issues pertinent to artists will be available to prepare tax returns for qualified individuals. more...
