Sarah Jones

1998-99 Literary Artists Fellowship and Residency
 

Sarah Jones is a poet, 'spoken word' performer, actor, playwright who lives and works in New York. She participated in the 1997 Nuyorican Poet's Cafe's Grand Poetry Slam Championship and was a 1998 Van Lier literary fellow. Her works include a contribution to The Lyricist Lounge hip-hop CD, and work with Nobel Laureate Derek Walcott and musician Paul Simon on the Capeman writing team.

Sarah Jones is also a Tony Award-winning playwright, actor, and poet. Her multi-character solo shows include Bridge & Tunnel, which was originally produced Off-Broadway by Oscar-winner Meryl Streep, went on to become a critically acclaimed, long running smash-hit on Broadway.
