James McSherry

2005 BRIO winner for nonfiction
James McSherry s a graduate of Columbia University's Writing Program (MFA, 1989). His autobiography "A Clean Street's A Happy Street," has just been published. He is a three time BRIO winner, most recently in 2004, 2002 and 1997. He is the author of "Bronx Astronomy" a collection of short stories, "Crime SceneReporter," a one-man show and several screenplays. He currently teaches creative writing at Lehman High School.
