The BRIO Award (Bronx Recognizes Its Own) serves as The Bronx Council on the Art's flagship grant, honoring many talented people in the Bronx community. Arts Fund grants up to $5,000 for Bronx-based arts organizations and artists with new public projects that have not taken place due to lack of funding or projects already scheduled for which additional funds would have a significant impact.

The Bronx Council on the Arts seeks nominations of arts professionals in all media (Literary, Media, Performing and Visual Arts) to serve on the Bronx
Recognizes Its Own (BRIO) Awards panels.
Panelist Requirements: The ideal panelist in each category would be a
generalist in the sub-categories listed below in that category or have a
competency in two or three of the subcategories.
Panelists cannot live in the Bronx. All Panelists receive an honorarium.
New panels are convened each year. Individuals selected to serve on a panel will receive an information packet, a letter of confirmation with the date,
location and time of the panel meeting.
