Child of the Church Productions (COTC) creates original site-specific staged performances recombining performance modes across electronic, chamber music, jazz, sacred music, opera and folk traditions. We create evening-length musical pieces that build cultural bridges and disrupt traditional genres and canons. We have received support from BRIO, NYSCA, and FCA, and we have produced original performances for The Kitchen, Queens Museum, Saint Peter’s Church, Lafayette Avenue Church, and Roulette (upcoming February 2024). Our work has been reviewed and mentioned in ArtForum, Composer Magazine and Cultured Magazine. Under the moniker "Ancient Moods" Gobby has released two albums with COTC musicians. The artists and musicians we work with represent a wide range of backgrounds and traditions including electronic music, classical music, jazz, folk, pop, and more.
